OMG! I know it took me THE longest time to finish this book, but with all the new releases that were coming out I got a tiny bit distracted... Okay a LOT distracted. But let me just tell you I loved this book. I love Mimi's point of view. She is just so hell- bent on getting Jack back and making him pay. I can't wait till the next book.

This book was short and sweet. Emphasis on the short, though. I loved Allegra's part. Mostly because it was the most descriptive of them all. It shed some light on her ordeal back then. (Was it just me, because I though Schuyler's dad was named Stephen, not Bendix??) I'm a TOTAL Schuyler & Jack fan, so I definitely loved that part too. The only thing I didn't like was Oliver's part. I LOVED seeing his view. Don't get me wrong. It's just that it was so random. . . It felt strained. The whole Freya-romance. In my opinion it was just to get the reader to pick up a copy of "Witches of East End". Oh well. . .

Bloody Valentine is a novella within the Blue Bloods series. At first, I wasn't super invested in this book or the short stories within it. Mostly because I didn't really see the point of the book being a book. Yes, the short stories had their moments, but it just seemed like a filler to me. In some weird way, I'm a little happy taht Jack and Schuyler are together. I'm actually happy that Oliver is finally moving on.

Besides the people I've known since book one, I did think the parts with Freya and Allegra were interesting. Mostly Freya because she was a new character to meet. Yet, Allegra had her moments in this as well. She still confuses me and I'm hoping I will be less confused before the series ends.

Melissa de la Cruz’s latest Blue Bloods installment, Bloody Valentine, is made up of three stories that fill in narrative gaps between the last Blue Bloods novel, Misguided Angel, and the next, Lost in Time. The first deals with Oliver’s heartache post-Schuyler, and how he stumbles upon somebody who wants to help him to heal. The next story gives background on Allegra van Alen. It shows her as a teenager attending Endicott Academy, and how she meets Schuyler’s future human father. Lastly, we are transported back to Italy where Schuyler and Jack prepare for their bonding. However, things are never that easy for this pair, and they must first overcome some very bad guys before they can finalize their vows to each other.

Bloody Valentine, though short, is a must-read for fans of the Blue Bloods series. While I’m sure the stuff that takes place in this book will be re-explained later, it’s much better to read the actual stories rather than waiting for the recap.

A little love for everyone. Oliver is "cured" of his love sickness for Schuyler. Just in time to go to her bonding with Jack in Italy. Where Bliss has come to be there too. A little kidnapping by the Countess's Venators but Jack saves the day quickly so the "wedding" does go off without a hitch.

A lot of these books happens 'off screen' as it were. The premise is very interesting but the execution leaves something to be desired. I feel like you don't even get to truly feel the romance between any of the characters because all the connection and interesting plot points happen where you don't get to see them and you have to hear about them.
Very gossip girl feel to it with very few things that keep the plot interesting. The characters are also very flat making it hard to engage with them.

Not my overall fave Blue Bloods book, but it tied up some loose ends that I've been bothered by since like book two, so i'm happy with it! If you're a fan of the series, you definitely want to read it instead of skipping ahead!
