I love this guide! Well written and easy to read, exactly what we’re looking for in a toolkit. I feel ready to start confidently reviewing books.
Lots of other communications tips in there too which can be used in your general social media presence and feel like a bonus. Nicely illustrated Which I found makes it more engaging.
Highly recommend this to anyone starting or struggling with using NetGalley and reviewing books.

Thank you, NetGalley and We Are Bookish, for providing this excellent resource! This toolkit provides helpful recommendations, along with tips and tricks, for reviewers, starting bookish platforms, NetGalley guidelines, etc.

Helpful guide that is straightforward and concise with easy to digest information about how to be successful on NetGalley and also how to maximize success on the various social platforms. It’s essentially a “how to” for those just starting out in the online book reviewing community!

This is a really useful and fun little book.
I have recently become a reviewer on NetGalley and this PDF toolkit is a handy guide to the basics of requesting ARCs from publishers and reviewing books online. It's easy to read format aids understanding and review.
As well as general tips on the process, there is information on how to write a review, and dos and don'ts on the various social media platforms.
I would very much recommend this toolkit to others if considering becoming a reviewer on NetGalley.

There are some fantastic tips and ideas here. I love that it covers all the major platforms with specific tips! It did seem a bit odd to me that it would include the instructions for signing up to Netgalley, considering that it can currently only be accessed by Netgalley members - is it planned to send this out more widely? It would make a great introduction to book reviewing for anyone. I picked up some great tips which I am looking forward to putting into practise!

This is a handy quick-reference guide to book reviews, both in general and tailored to Netgalley. The guide takes you through registration with Netgalley, and gives advice on how to increase your likelihood of being approved for books you are interested in. There is then a section on how to write reviews, including critical ones. The final third of the toolkit focuses on social media - general tips, and then guides to specific platforms.
The magazine-style layout makes the guide easy to dip into and the gentle palette is kind to the eyes! Recommended to anyone new to Netgalley, or anyone else who would like a quick refresh on the platform.
