Dad Bod Wingman
Dad Bod Series - Men Built for Comfort
By: Karla Doyle
Narrated by: Lu Banks

Jensen has always been the wingman. Today is his birthday, and he is still playing the role for his friend. When the woman to warm up is Bailey, the one he has loved all his life though, he draws the line. Bailey has always loved Jensen from afar. Shy and scared, she finally decides to make her move. Will these two find out their unrequited love is real? This is a small town, feel good romance. It's full of real people who have relevant fears and worries. Jensen truly is a teddy bear. While a little heavier, that's not what makes him huggable, it's his heart! Bailey knows a good man when she sees one and she sees his heart Karla Doyle works this one, letting us all feel that no matter how we look, love is true and real. It made my heart feel good as I listened and I can't wait for the next one.

Lu Banks does a phenomenal job bringing this one to life. She understands her characters and gives them each a voice that is realistic and pleasing to the ear. I enjoyed this audio and will be watching for more by her.

I enjoyed this novella. I wish it was longer. Also, there were some descriptions in the spice scenes that are not physically possible... But I wish they were. 3.75/5 stars

Listened to the audio version:
-Narration was a bit confusing at the start. Had to relisten to the first chapter when I realized the story was starting from the male lead's POV.

I struggled to get through this audiobook for a couple of reasons, but mostly for how immature the characters seemed early on in the story. There were a couple of awkward interactions, and I was put off by the male lead telling the female lead that she needs to tell him when he messes up. IMHO,a hero should own his actions, not pass the responsibility for his behavior to his heroine. The dialogue during the steamy scenes gave me second-hand embarrassment for the characters. So awkward it made me cringe.

Super sweet and steamy , teddy bear romance

Both lead characters, Bailey and Jensen, are super sweet and cute characters that make you glad to see them get their happily ever after.

The short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a steamy sweet romance. The relationship development is awesome and the male secondary character was interesting - I’d love to see more of him.

Adorable book. It's shorter than what I usually read so it felt like everything moved a little too fast, but it was super sweet.

This is Jensen's story in the Dad Bod series.
He has always been the nice guy.
On his birthday, he's tired of being the nice guy.
Especially when it comes to Bailey.

Can he be the wingman for his friend who wants Bailey, or will he figure out how to tell Bailey he wants her for himself?
Great story in this series!

This is such a sugary sweet story, with a few hints of spicy sprinkled in!

This is a shorter book, about three hours long. That doesn’t really deter the story from progressing nicely though.

This is a bit second and a bit childhood sweethearts that didn’t know the other felt the same way ❤️

This was narrated entirely by Lu Banks and while she did a fantastic job it would have been better with two narrators to keep the characters straight easier.
