Caleb has had a huge crush on baker Layla for a long while now and when he spots her being treated poorly on a date he swoops in as her knight in shining armour.
Both Layla and Caleb have been unlucky in love so Caleb suggests they date each other for a month and provide one another feedback on ways to improve their dating skills. This way they have the benefits of dating someone but no pressure or expectations. The couple have extremely hot chemistry and there is a danger that they could move to the next level, but that wasn’t in the agreement. Can they both stick to the plan and remain friends at the end or will someone end up getting hurt.
My thoughts: He falls first, sunshine x sunshine, small town romance.
The chemistry of the main couple was very strong but there wasn’t any other story going on, it was solely about their relationship and I felt like I wanted more. The couple were so perfect for eachother that it was obvious they would end up together, so I would have liked another plotline alongside their relationship.
The characters are very likeable and their steamy scenes show how much they care about each other. The third act disagreement had me eye rolling which is why I dropped half a star but overall this is a cute romance which is guaranteed to make you smile.

cute cute cute!!!!!!!!! i really love this series so far & im so stoked for the next one. Caleb & Layla were so cute, even though Layla annoyed the heck out of me for a good chunk of the book, Caleb made up for it. This one was probably my fav so far

I really liked this one - I can’t tell if more than the 2nd. I think her writing has flourished so that might push it. The only thing is Laylas change I would have loved to seen, if happens quick. And I do love the small town aspect (it’s not too annoying). Caleb is so sweet and it’s nice to see a man without all the issues and he is not too much! So cute!

Loved Layla and Caleb's story. This had the perfect tropes and the perfect ending. Loved every minute of it.

I annotated the crap out of this book. So many lovely lines, especially about being scared of being let down. 4.5 stars.
