This was a great book. I was totally in love with the Hades and Persephone love story.

Tandem read.

I really enjoyed Hades and his POV chapters, and how he constantly checked on consent and how Persephone is feeling. I enjoyed the intel on the other gods and the  world surrounding them.
Calling his dick his ‘sex’ was cringey though, and it gave me the ick every time I read it. But still a hot story.

“Take her, and I will destroy this world. Take her, and I will destroy you. Take her, and I will end us all.”

I absolutely loved reading Hades perspective and getting to learn more about him versus what we know from Persephone’s POV. I think it’s very rare we get a book in the males lens, and I think Scarlett St. Clair crushed this

I liked Hades' p.o.v. more than Persephone's, I think in romance books it's typically more interesting to read what he's thinking about. I think this book was different enough from the first that you weren't reading the same scenes. It goes into more background knowledge of the character and because you're getting his thoughts, some scenes are almost completely different from his p.o.v.

Again, I think tandem reads for this series would be fun, but maybe that's because I'm used to romance books doing both FMC/MMC p.o.v.s in the same book. You get to see more of Hades' thoughts and love for Persephone early on, and it clues you into missing pieces from TOD.
