If you are lonely, sad, and blue the Whisper Man will come for you.
Daaaaaaaamn Gina! Wow! I took my time with this one and you will too. The most exciting suspense/ thriller I’ve read in years. Lots of moments in this book will make you ponder, especially if you are a parent. The details, the relations, the way everything comes to an end is so immaculate that you will feel you lived through it.
I have never read Alex North before nor have I researched him or know what else he has written but this is now my mission. Holy shi*t! This was a crazy ride.

Fathers-sons relationship described from different perspectives. The normal father-son dynamic and the psychopaths dynamics. Intriguing, sad and mostly a very chilling novel that kept me on edge the entire time. I always feel nervous about children in such novels, but this one was very great.
I felt sad though for Pete who died in the end. I was hoping that he would live close to his grandson and son again after years of estrangement.

Am I becoming a harsh critic these days? I feel like I liked this book more before I read my moms review! Now I’m like oh. You’re right… did I like this book? I agree with her that I would rather watch this sort of mystery than read it. But I must say I was eager to figure it all out and have a resolution! I would for sure recommend it because it’s quick, easy and captivating. I DO wish it had been a little bit spookier.
