It was a slow read but it came through really well. A great introduction to philosophy told through the eyes of a teenage girl.

read this book for school - i liked the first half a lot but then the plot got confusing and hard to follow. i did not understand the sophie/hilde thing like what was that i’m still confused. but if you want a short summary of a bunch of philosophers then it’s good. just don’t expect a coherent plot lmao.

As a reader with a limited/very patchy grasp of philosophy, I found this a fascinating summary of philosophical theory. It took me a long time to read, with regular reflection and thought needed for each chapter.
There were times I needed a break from the book and some parts required much effort to plough through. Challenges were definitely worthwhile though; it has whet my appetite for this topic.

Written for children. Enjoyed by no one. Probably.

This was so boring, and the weird plot I couldn't care less about. I figured I would be interested in the last few chapters atleast but the author killed even my interest in skipping and skimming. And boy, did I skim!

This was a pain. If you're looking for an intro to philosophy, just watch a couple of YouTube videos, pick one you like, and jump into it directly. This book did not even touch upon modern philosophy, and spent too long on the ancients and the silly plot that no one cares about.

I want to cry.

I wasn't able to get through it. It's a weird illogical story and a super slow read. I guess I'm one of the few that thinks this but I stopped reading.. Not my kind of book.

What a weird book. To like this book you must be able to grasp abstract concepts and perhaps have a leaning towards philosophy. I can go there but it starts to hurt my brain after a while. Part philosophy lesson and part story and very, very weird. Now I need to read some insipid shallow fiction to let my brain take a break.

Did not finish. Pushed through to p165 and then gave up. The novel portions were well written but the 'History Of Philosophy' sections dragged and were very dense in comparison to the story.

Too boring too comment.
