No time like a pandemic to finish this gn series. I enjoyed the back stories of all the characters

Pretty good story telling but really full of ups and downs. Beautiful character moments framed in repetitive and strange story decisions.

“The best graphic novel I’ve ever read.” – Stephen King

I wouldn’t go that far but it is good.

This one uses more flashbacks and memories than I recall in previous volumes. They work well enough but it was disorienting at first.

The series gears up for the end in this penultimate volume, as many of the pieces within the overall story's puzzle are finally starting to come together. I really enjoyed the extended flashbacks given to supporting characters Agent 355, Dr. Mann and Alter that provide their origin stories and satisfyingly answer many individual mysteries concerning each of them. As usual, there are some intriguing twists along the way and some unexpected character pairings. I anxiously await the final volume to see how everything wraps up.

Strong choice at this point to visit backstory on a few of the main characters, especially the enigmatic Agent 355. Did not disappoint, and still I want more of her.

Also good to see some of the sprawling of characters begin to reverse, as well as actual movement on storylines and conflicts, and all without telegraphing exactly what resolution to expect.

Appreciate the choice to leave (original) Beth walkabout without checking in directly, as even mentions of her are nails-on-a-chalkboard annoying.
