This series has really drawn me in, and it seems to get better every book.

In this fourth book, we have mostly left the confines of the USA. We finally learn some of the backstory behind Agent 355, Dr. Mann, Hero, Alter, and even Ampersand. And we see once more that our adventures have consequences.

Yorick is still an idiot.

Agent 355 is still amazing.

Hero's struggles have not yet ended.

And people continue to live satisfyingly conflicted & messed up lives.

I start the final collection soon. And I await the inevitable conclusion.

This jumps around a good bit, and Vaughan is clearly trying to bring a bunch of threads together, but it doesn't always flow very well, and it's not always all that clear how much time has passed or when the depicted events are happening. It's still good stuff and I'll definitely continue to read, but all of the jumping around to different characters made it hard to get truly wrapped up in it the way I was in previous volumes.
