This love triangle is too much for me.

So I have been putting off reading this for awhile but I am glad I finally started it.
It was slow for me at first which I hate. But then it started moving. I love Alex she is so awesome. I wish that Death and Falin where there more. I do think I am going to go back and read the first two again. But It was a good fun read!

I'm a little played out on the "two impossibly gorgeous men are in love with me, but I can't be with either of them" trope in paranormal fantasy. The fantasy plot is excellent, so I will continue the next book in the series when it comes out.

I don't know what is about the series that I love so much but its definitely addicting for me. Even the love triangle that I usually don't tolerate I like in here. Amazing as the others were!!!

By far my favorite of the series so far. I thought that the "case" in this installment was the most interesting so far. I really enjoy Roy being a larger part of the series and he provides some needed comic relief. I didn't care for the exploration of Alex's family in the last book, but I was definitely intrigued by the new characterization of her father and the revelations of her background that came in this book.

I strongly prefer Falin to Death and so I enjoyed the fae revelry portions of the book moreso than the soul collector drama, but it's just personal preference as both sections were well done. Love triangles are not my thing, so the fact that each book has a Falin section and then a Death section is probably my least favorite part of the series. I would prefer it if we just had the conflict between Falin and the Winter Court OR Death and his existence as a soul collector and left out the triangle portion.

I enjoyed the 'sidekicks' more and am getting better at telling Holly and Tamara apart. Caleb is still pretty bland, but hopefully we'll get more info from him in the future as he is potentially a good character.

On to the next one!

Loved it so much

Team Death!!!!!

Book 3 finally finished! I've had it in my possession forever, but now I finally got to it! I love these books, they're dark, humorous, weird as fuck and sexy as hell.

This book dealt with Alex figuring out and starting to accept her Fae-ness. In between some serious ass-kicking and a lot of female friendships.

Two people I want out of Alex's life as soon as possible: The Winter Queen (who can die) and Falin, who has no more place in my heart. Death and Alex should be endgame and Falin should grow some balls.

Anyway. Read these books for dark, magical, feminist, sexy fun.

I really liked this one, mainly because Death! Falin can just go back to the winter court :P
