There is an idea here, enough of one that it kept me interested till the end, but it is not nearly developed enough for my tastes. I am not saying this needed to be a 900 page epic novel by any means. However, it's a problem when I find myself frequently asking "how did we get here?" Things on more than one occasion went from point A to point D, with points B and C no where to be found. Not to mention, things almost always worked out perfectly with no inconveniences.
It was an interesting premise, but not something I would recommend.

Very much enjoyed it, and I would love more in this verse. Wish the content warning had been a bit more fleshed out, because the book definitely /really/ needs it.

I see this come up in the LGBTQ+ tags and I'm not sure that's an appropriate tag. There's possibly some way of reading the major relationship as polyamorous, if you squint, but it's not really depicted as such.
I really enjoyed the story, once it finally got off the Harland ship. I really disliked some of the choices in the audio production.
