Claustrophobic and chilling but at the same time beautiful as a sunrise.
An amazing read.
A must read for Agatha Christie fans.

I'm not sure if it's the translation of just poor writing but this book wasn't for me. It's NOT a thriller. It's not even much of a mystery. Too many shallow characters.

Very Scandinavian noire, very Bergman in the best sense.
There is no fast action here ( maybe a little bit) and yet it captures you. The story lines tied up a bit too neatly, so not 5 stars. Definitely want to read more in the series.
The Icelandic names can be confusing, so make yourself a cheat sheet list of characters. 😃

Enjoyed it but not as good as the darkness.
