Corrupted entities are my favorite manner of entities, I think. The writing was so visceral at times, the imagery very evocative. A thrilling read.

How far would you go to achieve your dreams? To achieve power? This story follows Laure in her quest for perfection in the grueling world of ballet. What makes this book/ character so interesting is you get to see her come to terms with the reality that she might not be the "good guy" and being at peace with who she's had to become.
I feel like there were some concepts that were introduced and weren't well explored, explained, or resolved. Maybe they're addressed in book 2, but I likely won't continue the series.
There was something about the way the book was written that I struggled with throughout my reading. It's hard to explain but the writing felt extremely choppy and sharp. I often had to reread sentences to understand what she was trying to say. The writing wasn't bad, just in a style/ tone that I haven't experienced and struggled with a bit.
