It was so entertaining! I've always loved the Era of the French Revolution, and this was outstanding! Downworlders in France!? Could that be any better? And the Axel-Magnus "relationship" what an interesting point in the story. I really enjoyed it. Sure it was a little inaccurate to the actual events, but besides that, it was a very good mini-story. I liked this one better than 'What Really Happened in Peru.' This was much better and more entertaining. I'm enjoying this mini series. The only thing is that the stories keep ending with a mystery! I'd like to know what happened. Overall, it was a cute and nice story to read. I'm glad that Calre has been so involved with her fans. She's writing a book series, and also this mini series! It's a great story. Worth the read.

French Revolution, Marie Antoinette (dear lord that woman was annoying and an idiot), vampires (not the kind kind, but the ones that will kill you if you so much as step wrongly), flirting (Axel and Magnus were so adorable together and I wish for more moments), I had such a laugh that he named the monkey after his friend and I wished I could have seen his reaction to it, I loved seeing Paris even though it was a bit dreary what with the whole revolution and unhappiness everywhere. This was a fun story, though a bit less fun than the first one. Still I do want to continue reading, thankfully I got a whole book of stories! *cheers*

I think I don't need to read any more of the Magnus series. I like him as a character when he's interacting with the others, but on his own he seems too schticky and lacks depth.

I much preferred this to the first novella. This was actually interesting and had some funny events in it.
