I was hoping for a novel, not a graphic novel. The artwork was spectacular but the text was so tiny I had to use a magnifying glass.

You will cry. A lot. This is a masterpiece and deserves a whole page of praise that I’m not eloquent enough to write. Highly highly suggest reading this, it will change your life. The writing is beautiful, so if you love to highlight quotes you are in for a treat 🤍

I read the first chapter at the bookstore and kept on reading when I got home - I was really enjoying the story up until our party of 3 arrive at King Haggard’s Castle, and then the going got a little slow. It is beautifully, lyrically written and I can see why it’s so beloved.
