3.5 This was not my favorite book. This series is supposed to be about Eve Duncan. She was barely a part of this book and finding her daughter’s remains was such a let down as there was so much build up to it in the first two books. In this book it was like ‘oh yea we found Bonnie and now she’s at peace’. How did her story just POOF and disappear? Aarrgghhhh!!!!

I do love the characters Sarah and Monty but I finished this book wanting so much more…

Featuring some secondary or recently introduced characters from Johansen's previous novel The Killing Game, the change of focus and additional cast of characters keep it fresh with a plot that is a bit more interesting than the previous installment.

This is the book that got me into Iris. Its in the middle of a series, and it doesn't even matter, because it's so good. each one of her books can stand alone, but you'll only get the biggest picture of the world her characters live in, if you read them all. Great Writer, Great Book. I fell in love with John Logan and Sean Galen, and am still looking for them both.

Promising beginning but then romance won over the mystery and I got bored.

This series has potential but it needs to focus on the mystery more. I think I'm gonna try one more book and see how it goes.

I should have written the review for this one sooner, since between having finished it in late October and writing the review now, I've finished another Eve Duncan book, and the two are blurring together. However, I do remember that this one was definitely another amazing book by Johansen. I really liked how the storyline kind of deviated a little from Eve and told more of Sarah's story, since she fascinated me in the second book in the series.

Definitely recommend this series so far!! :) It's not gory or gruesome, and Johansen knows how to hold the reader's attention.
