Why the fuck was regan apologizing at the end when it wasn’t her fault

i was glad that regan was the fmc and not cassie. i bet she is going to be in one of the next books but at least not in this one. i appreciated that cassie’s story progressed in the background and in her book we’re going to deal only with aftermath.

i wasn’t sure about him always opening some buttons on her blazers.

i like the beginning of their story and the humor between them. i didn’t like the middle with its miscommunications. the ending was nice but i was expecting more.

Going back through some of la Nora’s backlist. I’m not sure I read these back in the day. Still a good family series. She always did those so well.

3.5 stars. I'm pleasantly surprised by this book, it was pretty good. Not the greatest but definitely a good book to kill some time with. I have for a long time had this notion that Nora Robert's book wasn't anything for me but I'm starting to think that's not true

Great quick read!

Rafe is one of the MacKade brothers. Rafe left town years ago after his mother’s death. He’s only plans are buying the hunted house and make it into an inn. But then he meets Regan.

Regan has been living in a small town for three years. She owns an antique store and wants to do everything she can, so she won’t end up like her mother.

These two want each other since the moment they lay eyes on each other. They are both just so damn stubborn. Neither want to confess their feelings in the fear of the other one not feeling the same.

I don’t know what it is but I love possessive male characters. He couldn’t even stand his brothers looking Regan in the certain way.

I really liked Regan’s friendship with Cassie. The poor woman has been going through a lot and I felt so bad for her children. I also really enjoyed Rafe’s relationship with all of his brothers.

I didn’t like how mad Rafe got about Regan not calling him after what happened to her. These two should’ve just communicated more. I don’t even think neither got really ‘romantic’ until the end of the book.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book but it still didn’t impress me that much. Don’t get me wrong I liked the romance but it didn’t give me that feeling that I need to know what happens.

An enjoyable romp with the rougish Rafe MacKade and the refined Regan, mixed with the civil war history of Antietam and a supernatural element of Ms. Roberts' own imaginings.

Good reliable Nora.

Hot hot hot. Rafe stole my breath and heart. Great read!! I listened to the Audible audiobook read by Luke Daniels. I liked his characters. He really brought them to life. His voice is very easy to understand and I really enjoyed the entire 6 hrs of it!

3.5 stars.
