*4,5, reread

This is the ultimate feel-good book. The vivid discriptions of Avonlea make me wish that I was on Prince Edward Island right now, frolicking in the fields, running through the haunted woods and admiring lovers lane. I love how we watch Anne grow up and how her character evolves so naturally through it.
And oh how one little person as myself can't help but love the language in these sweet and wonderful lines of writing, for nothing will ever be as dear to me as this darling little girl.

A wonderful delightful book about a young red head, freckled, imaginative and talkative orphan girl named Anne with an E.
Reading this for the first time in my late 30s, I still found joy in her good humar nature and her insatiable desire for nature, friends and life. While she makes many funny mistakes, you learn to grow along with the character as she does. I almost wish I had a knack for naming places the way Anne does.
I also was able to see the book through the eyes of an adult and understand why parents do what they do with their kids. Trying to do their best to raise up a rambunctious and quick wit child.
I highly recommend you give this book a read and live through the eyes of one of the most fun loving little woman you will ever meet.

I’ve reread it so often since elementary school…and it becomes more dear to me every single time. I listened to the audiobook and you could just see me laugh and cry in my car on the drive to work every morning it healed me

Normally I would find a girl like Anne annoying but she was truly endearing. Her perspective on the world and romantic view of things was inspiring. A textbook INFP who I adored for her character development.
