The Christmas Fix

Lucy Score

3.81 AVERAGE

I adore Lucy Score and everything she puts out so my first book of the Christmas season HAD to be one of hers. I won’t spoil it, swearsies.

The plot - as I say, this is a Christmas themed, enemies to lovers celebrity romance, grumpy X sunshine and forced proximity. The smut was like 2/5 on the spice scale, quite tame all things considered. It is a HEA, and it’s an amazing HEA at that. I adored it. This story is all the feelgood christmas vibes with an added bonus of reality house fixer upper TV, and an adorable sassy daughter.

The MC - Cat is a difficult one to love. She pretends to be an ice queen but she just needed to find the right man to help her see what life looks like outside of the glitz and glam. Adored her by the end. And she was hilarious as well.

The male counterpart - who wouldn’t love Noah? Divorced, with a sassy almost teenage daughter (Sara) who’s just trying to keep the town he loves so much afloat. Loved him from start to end.

Ok this is really probably a 3.5 and so is the first one that I think I gave 4 stars. I like the characters better in this one but the “enemies” portion at the beginning was too forced and annoying. Cute & christmasy though
funny lighthearted fast-paced

MMC was annoying at the start but overall a nice spicy holiday read.
