The Christmas Fix
By Lucy Score
4⭐️

The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score was a cute holiday story. The town of Merry, Connecticut, was hit by a late October Hurricane. The bigger problem… Will the town be “fixed” up in time for their traditional Christmas Festival that brings in a lot of revenue.
Cat and her Reality TV Show want to Fix Up Merry for their Christmas Special. As you meet the residents of the town, Merry, you will find yourself falling in love with the story.
Score has well written characters meshed with a solid and Christmasy plot. This books has all the makings of a Hallmark Christmas movie but with a little more spice.
If you love Christmas and happy endings you really should check this book out!

✨What it is about:
Catalina King, a home renovation expert/reality tv star shows up at Merry, Connecticut to save the holidays, and put the town back together after it was hit by a late season hurricane.  Noah Yates hates the idea of a TV diva capitalizing on his town’s tragedy, and wants her gone.  Cat does not back down, and Noah does everything in his power to stand in her way. She’ll save Christmas just to spite him!✨

💭My thoughts:
This is book two in the Fixer series by Lucy Score, but you don’t really need to read the first one to enjoy this one. It was filled with great banter, hilarious one liners, and just all the fun I’ve come to expect from Lucy Score reads. It definitely could have been a shorter book, but by now I’ve realized Lucy just loves to write, write, write! There were a few issues with the main characters’ actions I would in other times probably criticize or take more into account, but I approached this book as I do  Hallmark movies, and it very much felt like one (there’s a lot that doesn’t bother me in Hallmark movies that would in other productions lol). The ending was my favorite part, but I will not tell you about it, you just must read it yourself. I will say Noah is just the best, (when he’s not judging without knowing a thing), because a person that can do a heartwarming thing as he did in the end, deserves the praise. I didn’t overanalyze or take this story too seriously, which is why I rated it so high, it just was fun for this time of year. In any other occasion I might have been a little more critical of certain things that usually bother me, but get me an HGTV Hallmark storyline during the season, and apparently I let lots slide right on by! 😂 I thought it was cute and fun.
