I really enjoyed this book but I wish it hadn’t taken so long for the secret to come out.

This was my first book by Oona and I am so glad I gave this book a chance. Chance and Andy's story was very cute. After learning more about their backstory and how they grew up together and seeing Andy's parents' and brother's reaction to them being together you can see how everyone around them knew they were meant to be together. Except for them. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it.

After a one night stand where Andy pretends to be someone else in the hopes that Chance doesn't recognize her, she winds up pregnant. Chance spends the next few months unable to get her out of his head. They are pushed together by her brother to help plan his wedding. After picking Chance up from the airport, Andy is wondering when he is going to realize the one night stand was in fact her. It's what happens afterwards that makes you go aww, Chance is a really sweet guy.

Brother’s best friend always makes a great romance

Before I gush about the goodness that it Andy and Chance, let me express my thoughts about a plot line used not only here but in a few books I’ve read recently. Forced proximity after being forced to organize someone else’s wedding. Is that really a thing? Who does that? I love my siblings, but if they took off and said they were too busy to orchestrate their own wedding and demanded I had to do all the work (for free naturally) and of course to their specifications, I’d tell them where to go. How selfish can someone be? Not gonna lie, that left me with no love for Abby’s brother or his bride. ::rant over::

Moving on…. Andy has had a crush on her big brother’s best friend all her life. After her jerkoff boyfriend of 6+ years cheats on her, she is in the city with her bff for a girls weekend and happenstance brings her and Chance together. He hasn’t seen her in years since she grew out of her ugly duckling phase, and has no idea who she is even though he knows she seems familiar. She gives him a fake name, and they have an amazing night together. Then she sneaks out not knowing she’s leaving with a permanent reminder of their time together.

Since her brother and his wife are apparently jerks, Chance and Andy are forced to do all the preparations for a last minute wedding that’s going to happen in days. Because that’s not stressful enough without being given literally zero time to throw it all together

This was a fantastic book! It had everything: a brother's best friend, friends to lovers, a hidden pregnancy, a secret identity, and a fake engagement,. Just incredible! It's well worth picking up. The plot was well-written, the characters were likable, and I was completely engrossed from the first page! I'm excited to see what else this series has in store. This is a book that I strongly recommend.
