Okay, we have a man who moves into a house which seems to be possessed and he requires a little bit of magical assistance to sort things and during the process relationships are built and sparks fly.
I read this in my free time at the end of January and there are still things, months later, that really stand out to me about this story. The house, the characters, the interactions, it was cute, it was wholesome and it was a lot of fun.
There was a little bit of a darker element with the plot that I think was tied into the story in an interesting way and the more I think about it the more I like this book and would recommend it to anyone interested in cozy magical whatever this is! lol

This book was a cozy and calming read that had me captivated in the world of fantasy. The characters were easy to love and I can’t wait to continue on with their journey in book 2.

This a cozy read. I really love this book. The magic system and the house are my favorite characters. I love that the book is set in a world where magic is nearly science, the bending of the two is unique and refreshing. I rated this book a 3 before I read the second in the series because I didn’t realize it was a series. It definitely has first book vibes and the characters feel quite cookie cutter in this book, but the world and the plot are intriguing and original. It’s not going to win any awards for prose but it’s so stinking fun.
I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new well done series or if you’re looking for a palate cleanser.
