I absolutely love this series and its characters. I literally can't put the book down and find myself picking the next book up right after the other.
Now that I've gotten that out the way: Unpopular opinion, Eve is sometimes a bad friend. Yes, she is there when it matters and eventually comes around, but at times she completely disregards the people in her life's feelings. A LOT. I completely get she is the way she is because of her past traumas, but I feel she doesn't even try sometimes. Yes, her job is important and she feels she has to do it, but even after all this time being married and making the connections she has, she is constantly forgetting important events in her friends (and husband) live. Its not even because work gets in the way, its because she allows it to get in the way and then goes on these inner monologues about how bad she feels about it, but in the next book she late again or forgot again. Roake is the most understanding husband a woman with her profession could ask for and with knowing how much he understands, you would think she would try harder to make an effort to show up on time (and not in dirty work clothes) to a dinner where he is having with clients or anyone for that matter.
Now that I've gotten that off my chest...I love the books I really do, I promise. Started the series in January of this year and haven't been disappointed. highly recommend. 10/10

It was a solid addition to the series, I thoroughly enjoyed it but I'm still sad she did that to Morris, he was so happy. Really enjoyed the scene where she was begging Roarke not to leave her with the women. Also ANY Trina and Eve scene is a riot!
Eve just keeps collecting new friends. She's getting a little bit better at being a friend and I just love that her and Peabody have such a wonderful repoire. I know I have a lot more to read in this series but I will truly be sad when I've caught up and run out of Eve Dallas stories. I never get tired of reading these.
these books are intense but this one made me cry. Morris and Eve... love that friendship. Got me good.
Nice twisty conspiracy with good character development
Clearly I’m in the minority but I just don’t love the fact that these books are set in the future and at times off planet. I have not read this series in order but still felt like I knew the characters and enjoyed her writing style. Just not sure I can get past the prison being on another planet thing.
Nora’s teasing us with characters from waaay back. Girl I can’t even remember what happened in the last book I read let alone 15 books back in the series!
dark
emotional
funny
mysterious
tense
fast-paced
This was one of the most fun Robb books in a while. Though the murder-mystery part wasn't as interesting - I loved seeing old friends back for much of the book. I think I might have even done a little happy dance in my seat when Eve went to the Down and Dirty and saw Crack!
