I am honestly struggling to find the right words to express what it was like to read Orbiting Jupiter. While dealing with sensitive topics including abuse, mental health, foster care, teen pregnancy and poverty, this book tells a beautifully raw and compelling story from the perspective of a 12-year-old. There was so much in less than 100 pages, and yet it did not feel rushed or busy. It just felt real and moved me in so many ways.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Violence, Self harm, Toxic relationship, Suicidal thoughts, Pregnancy, Mental illness, Grief, Confinement, and Bullying

It took a while for the plot to get going. The book was enjoyable. It wasn't written for my age group, so I found it a little predictable (except for the end).
That end- I'm crying so much. That was so unexpectedðŸ˜
