Going into this, I was afraid the book would fall into the category of “unnecessary sequels” but I was totally wrong. The more that this world was developed, the more interested I became in seeing it unravel.

Good book. Second in the series. I think I liked his series, Scythe, better. But it's full of action and introduces some new characters while keeping the majority of past characters.

THE SUSPENSE! Man, I loved this more than the first one. I get proud of the characters and one instance and then they annoy me in the next. Nobody's perfect. The plot was great, if a little predictable, the world-building just gets better. I ran to the library to get this book after reading the first. Read it in a couple days. I was *invested*.
