This review is belated, but this is one of my comfort reads and what I read when I'm in a book slump. The angst, the fights, that scene in the club, the tattoos, the flowers, the love and care Lila and Nova have for each other never fails to make me remember how much I love Giana Darling's writing and the Fallen Men series

nova booth everyone. this man has my whole entire heart. I love him so much and I love his absolute adoration for Lila. they go through a lot in their life and nova is there for her throughout it all. they are truly soulmates and I'm obsessed with their relationship and everything that they mean towards one another. once nova gets his head outta his ass, they take everything to a whole new level and it's utterly beautiful

If you love the MC trope, this is a great example. I loved the second-chance(ish) elements, and the chemistry between Lila and Nova.

Okay hands down this is my favorite. The language of flowers? The deep love and devotion from both Lila and Nova… her patience as she waits for his love to develop into something more romantic?? THIS IS MY TOP TIER TYPE OF ROMANCE. All though I like the entire series, I would have kept reading even if I didn’t just to get to this book, its just… ugh! So good.

Nova is the most fleshed out of all of Darling’s heroes and I loved following his journey, but LILA??? Her quiet strength is seriously regal, and it kills me that it took him so long to pull his head out of his ass and accept that they were meant to be LOL. Lila is a gentle soul, but NOT A CHUMP and I love the way she sticks up for herself while acknowledging her feelings. She follows her heart and refuses to apologize for it.

Lastly- I think there was a missed opportunity here for a couple’s boudoir shoot, considering both Lila and Nova are sort of internet influencers. Bonus epilogue anyone?
