Up front: I've never had a psychotic episode, but I have a history of depression and anxiety.

Mental illness, schizophrenia especially, has always fascinated me. This memoir is a pretty interesting read. The second part, Arriving, is really hard to read as it's incredibly disjointed, but that makes sense considering the subject matter. The last part, Letter to Anita, is definitely worth reading. At the very least, it explains the rest of the book.

Captivating memoir that gave me insight into the experience of schizophrenia; all the more fascinating being set in the sixties.
