I really liked this memoir of a trans woman coming out and living her life. I also appreciated the discussion of her navigating a rather public life through her transition and the political issues she was involved with. In the middle is a section dealing with
the illness and death of her partner and husband
that didn't fit well with the rest. I mean, it was part of her life and worth talking about, but it felt quite different from the rest of the book. Overall, an excellent read and I'd highly recommend it for an own-voices account of the transgender experience.

This book was incredible, and as a disabled transgender man in a relationship with a transgender person, it really resonated with me. Sarah was so eloquent in explaining so many pressing issues that affect transgender folks, all while telling a heartbreaking, beautiful story of her and her husband. Cannot recommend this book enough - it does come with a massive trigger warning for transgender folks, but in my opinion it was well worth it.

In 2022, I've become somewhat pessimistic about our ability to make change within the current political structures, but this book has given me some hope. Andy's death is a loss for Sarah and the world. The good both of them have enacted in their careers is incredible. Sarah voicing her own audiobook made it feel like she was telling a story to a friend.

I don't have the words for how fantastic this book is. If I could only recommend one memoir that I've ever read, it would be this one. This book is emotional, intersectional, profound, powerful and so deeply personal. Sarah McBride is such an inspiring person, and her moving story had me crying tears of sadness and joy. This book also addressed so many important issues through the lenses of personal struggles, activism, politics and policy. As someone who loves political books, this was especially engaging as it is a personal memoir, and it also shows all the connections between advocacy and the legislative process. Ultimately, this book is a powerful and compelling story of hope, LGBTQ+ love and activism. I think Sarah McBride is an amazing role model to all young people, especially and this book left me overflowing with hope and inspiration for the future. I know it's only January, so it's a bit early for me to be saying this, but I truly believe that Tomorrow Will Be Different is easily one of the best things I'll read all year. Please read it.
