This was a super fun read (thanks for the rec brigette!!). If ghostbusters, scooby doo, and Sherlock had a baby, it would be this book. My favorite parts were the explanation of physical constraints of this world in the first ghost interaction scenes (how different types of ghosts would manifest for xyz circumstances of their human death and what ghost busting techniques to handle each type of ghost), the bantery underdog ghost busting team, and the satisfying end! Least favorite part was the fact that this book is set in the UK and yet temperature is reported in Fahrenheit? Weird details like that really get to me lmao. Would recommend

This was a very interesting take on ghost hunting. The time period setting was a bit of a challenge to figure out. There were so many moments I felt like we were in victorian England and then felt we were in England post WWII. Either way, it was a fun book with a good level of suspense and resolution and very creative world where only young people can see and take care of supernatural foes.

I did this out of order - I watched the first two seasons of Lockwood and Co before picking up this book, as I hadn't realized it was based on a book series. To my delight, the show is quite true to the book, and I enjoyed this book just as much as the series. Looking forward to the next one.

Good start for a cozy series. Could have been a little less foreseeable, a little more exciting but I really like the characters and more thrill would destroy the coziness I guess.
