I enjoyed the show, so decided to check out the books. This first book keeps pretty close to the show and was enjoyable.

I'm excited to continue on with the books and see more of the development unfold where the show left off.

After starting the series on Netflix, I decided to read the book first.

Although the plot was very intriguing, I sometimes found it a tad slow. Maybe it was just me tho because many other people liked this book.

⚠️ Warning⚠️
The Whispering Scull was a dnf, due to it being extremely boring and slow paced. I truly wanted to like this book and continue the series, but I just couldn’t.

That saying, I still recommend the first book.

Very atmospheric and well written. The characters were great but Lucy’s occasional ‘not like other girls’ moments were jarring and will hopefully be toned down in later books.
