I didn't think a spooky ghost series could be so comforting?? These characters will forever live in my head #LOCKLYLE

AND NETFLIX YOU CAN FIGHT ME. I'll never forgive you for cancelling the show. We didn't even get a chance to see live action Holly

this is a book that made me fall in love with stories again……. totally binged it and it’s so nice to read again… the narrative… the characters… the storytelling…….. anyway. i love reading i love writing i love jonathan stroud.

thank you to darling tuesday for (uselessly) letting me borrow her book six months ago only to read this totally on audiobook.

lockwood and lucy i knew i’d love but george took me by surprise. i can’t wait to get so sick about them.

i love mysteries. i almost saw the big twist but not quite. i should have.

and middle grade is so fucking underrated. can’t STAND YA these days but middle grade never fails me..

i need to reread sammy keyes mysteries. and finish my damn goodreads challenge

I loved the world building!!! And I loved how creepy this was, very suspenseful atmosphere. I really liked the characters, they don't all get along all the time, but I appreciated that, cause it brings conflict. But in the end they work well together, which was also believable. Look forward to the next adventure.

This was a fun read filled with plenty of plot and mysteries. I liked the way it kept moving and the characters are pretty fun. What didn't work for me was that I couldn't tell what the time period was. They all talk and act like it's the 1800s, yet they reference TVs and dishwashers. The main characters also don't really act like 15 year olds, sounding much more like they're all in their early 20s. I also didn't like how mean Lucy was to George, it felt very fatphobic. Besides that, I really liked the action, the mystery, and how much trouble they kept getting themselves into. Looking forward to the next book.

What a great time. I lost momentum in the middle, but I think that's more life getting in the way than anything else. Lockwood & Co are great, fun characters making the best of things in a nasty world. One of my favourite kids books I've listened to in ages!

absolutely delightful! a fun read that middle school morgan would have been obsessed with. i enjoyed the tone and was captivated by the world building and characters. and i always always love a mystery. i plan to continue with this series.

also, i chose to read this because i watched the netflix series last year. i didn’t know it at the time, but i have never seen a more faithful adaptation
