With things going wrong on a job Archer blames himself, he was the one who took the shot that harmed the girl, as well as killing his mark. Seeing the beautiful woman fall, send him back into flashbacks from his time in the military, although there was nothing he could do then, he’s determined to find the girls and make sure she’s ok.
Daria wakes to see a man in a Cobra vest making sure she didn’t remember anything he wouldn’t want any bad men showing up because she snitched on them. Waking from a dream the doctor lets her know she may be suffering from PTSD and can have someone come and talk to her.
Archer knows it’s a bad idea to see Daria, when he realises, she knows he’s there he has no choice but to go into her room, when she thinks he part of the PTSD group he doesn’t deny it. The more time he spends with Daria the more he thinks about her submitting to him, the more he feels like he’s not a failure, but she doesn’t know who is really is. When his Prez shows up at the hospital Daria panicked seeing his Kutte, he lets the Prez know she’s his redemption, but the Prez tells him he needs to be all the way in if not he needs his Kutte.
Although it’s killing him not to tell Daria he’s part of a club, the worst part is she trusts him. With the danger to both the club and threats towards Daria he knows he has to tell her, but how will she react knowing he’s part of what got her shot and caused her PTSD.

The thing I liked about this book the most is that it is told mostly from the perspective of Archer. You do get snippets from Daria's point of view but they don't aren't as in depth as Archer's. There is definite HEA and the sex scenes hot and NOT vanilla so if you have a problem with light BDSM this may not be your read.
