This was a quick and creepy read! It's a cold case with a touch of the supernatural and a little bit of a goth feel and enough suspense to have many readers sitting at the edge of their seats! The setting is a secluded and Beautiful Villa Magda, on the coast of Maine! And the house just has that creepy, tingling down your spine feel to it! There were plenty of shocking twists and turns. I was glued to this one! I couldn't put it down or turn the pages fast enough! Overall it was a fantastic read!
Thank you Suzy Approved Book Tours, Teresa Sorkin and Tullan Holmqvist for sharing this fantastic story with me!

~Book Tour & Thoughts~
Lacie’s Secret by @teresasorkin @tullan
Pub Date: April 12, 2022
Thank you @suzyaprover
Book Rating: 4
Wine Pairing: Jacques Girardin Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir 2017
My Thoughts:
~ I love a good mystery so I was immediately drawn into the unanswered questions of Kate’s past and what really happened to her sister Lacie who just up and vanished. The main setting is Villa Magda and it was perfectly creepy because who doesn’t love a creepy house with a sordid past.
I found myself questioning everyone's motive in the story after a body was found in the pool. It’s mentioned at the beginning of the book, but we don’t find out who it is until the end. There is so much information thrown in at the end, but all my questions were answered.
If you like books where the past comes back to haunt you then look no further. For more information check out the synopsis in the comments.

I wish I gave a shit about a single character in this book. I guess the plot twists were okay? But that's about it. I felt like if I cared I maybe could have predicted it? IDK...

This was my first book by this duo but it was a FANTASTIC one!
Kate's back to her family ancestral home when her mom dies and she inherits it. She hasn't been back for 18 years because her sister disappeared back then and Kate can't remember much.
I absolutely love that every chapter starts with a part of Hansel + Gretel and it really lent itself to what was going to come in that chapter.
I love how Villa Magda was a living, breathing (of course figuratively) entity on its own. It knew all the secrets. It was creepy as all get out and I loved (except one thing) seeing what happened there while Kate, family and friends resided there.
Alice. That's all I can say. Alice. People have to read it for themselves. Such a selling point for me in this book!
I was surprised at the ending and of the "who done it all". I started to suspect a little, tiny bit but was still shocked.

Dark, twisty, and everyone is a suspect. I loved the creepy vibe they created in this psychological thriller that took place in an enormous secluded house. I guessed one twist, but they got me with everything else and even knowing that one thing didn’t make this read any less enjoyable. Plus I loved the tie in to their previous book! Definitely recommend this one.
