Probably would have DNF if the book wasn't so short.

Listened as audio book. Would really rate as a 2.5. The writing style wasn’t my favorite a lot of brand names which felt weird and a lot of “ X said” which became extremely repetitive. The adventures felt too easily resolved and like it was a series of mini adventures and everything happens too quickly. The MFC was pretty bland and one note but the MMC was a bit more likeable.

This was some of the blandest most uninteresting writing I've read in a while. It was my first Janet Evanovich book but I can't believe this woman has been publishing bestsellers for 30 years and hasn't developed a more sophisticated style of writing in all that time.

The characters were boring and annoying, the writing was all telling and no showing, and the depictions of the South American characters were racist.
