the duality of going from Tanizaki saying "but to me, none of that [the agency's morals] applies...when it comes to Naomi...good or evil, morals or egos...she exists on a plane above all that. There's no comparison. If I had to describe the difference...it's like, could you ever compare anything to God? Could you? For Naomi's sake, I'd gladly burn down the whole world." immediately followed by Dazai casually eating an entire bag of dog treats for no reason, with no explanation just vibes, is insane but describes this series so well 😭😭

This volume is setting up more to come and has some really great fight scenes, but it wasn't amazing for me. I wanted to know more about the guild and less about the battle strategies. However the short story about Akutagawa (who I have always been very interested in) at the end of the manga was so great that it made me really like this volume. The short story helps give some much needed back story and I hope there are more short stories in the volumes to come. Also, more about Akutagawa?!
