Lestat!!!! Wow what a guy so mischievous course he can't resist a cheeky body swap!!!
I do live the way Anne was clearly obsessed / in live with lestat and u can feel that through her writing
do however wish that she hadn't included that unnecessary rape scene 🙃

If you've managed to get to the fourth book without getting sick of Lestat's constant whingeing, you might be able to make it through this one too. If you're hoping he's gotten past that, you're going to be disappointed.

i would’ve quit the series if lestat stayed human or didn’t get his body back

Loved it. She is wonderful at this type of writing.
adventurous dark emotional mysterious medium-paced

Like every Anne Rice book, this one is super dragged by almost half of the book. And then just purely awesome. It’s aways like that for me. I swear this lady is testing my limits by exhaustingly describing yet another carpet, or native vegetation or wooden chair... But I always forgive her.
