I loved the incorporation of fairy tales and how Masha used them to help her figure out how to pass Baba Yaga's tests. I loved Masha's relationship to the adults in her life as they were realistic, imperfect and varied. I've never seen more beautiful colours in illustrations than the ones in here. I also liked the ending, as abrupt as it was. I want a sequel!
