It was alright, there wasn't much dept to it to be honest. Definitely wasn't as good as other books by Sophie Kinsella. I'm always looking forward to catching up with Becky but she seemed so shallow and immature. I really disliked how nothing was resolved (other than the little things) at the end of this.
I tried I really did. With all the great reviews I kept trying to get through it but I couldn’t. That being said I can see how someone would really like it but it’s just not for me. It’s light and funny but after a few chapters it just goes on and on and I couldn’t finish it.
This book was kind of a miss for me. As always, I enjoyed Becky’s sense of humor, but the book was too long and the storyline fell a little flat. I’m hoping Book 8 is more entertaining!
2.5 stars. Definitely the worst of the series. I’m so glad she wrote Christmas Shopaholic. It’s a much better note to end on! Anyway, this was painful to read. I’ve mostly flown through this re-read of the series, but this one took me ages because Becky was so unlikable and awful the entire book. I think I remember liking Shopaholic to the Rescue better, but we shall see!
Becky takes on Hollywood in her typical fashion. Definitely not my favorite Shopaholic book, some of the side stories were funny and we learned more about Suze and Tarquin. Minnie makes a delightful appearance as well. The ending left many questions unanswered so I'm off to find the next.
I had low expectations of Shopaholic to the Stars. First of all, its book #7. Seems to me like the continuation of this series was not needed, because second of all, its been quite awhile since book #6 and I feel as though we have mostly moved on.
So, that being said, I was surprised when I started to like this book. The beginning wasn't that horrible. It was fun, funny, light, and silly. We are reintroduced to Becky Bloomwood and its nice. I wasn't taking it too seriously, and my low expectations made it so that I wasn't being let down or anything. However, it didn't last long.
Soon enough Becky becomes very self absorbed and shallow and its so embarrassing and awkward to even read it. A lot of it seemed very unnecessary and dramatic, it could have been toned down a lot and gone on to be so much better. I'm surprised she left the end the way she did, so we know there will be another book. Kind of hoping she wraps it up soon because this series has lost its way and I believe Becky Bloomwood should be retired. It was fun while it lasted, but now its time to say goodbye. Never though I'd say this about a book series, but I hope book 8 will be the last.

I have read the rest of the shopaholic series and really liked it but this book left me disappointed. Becky is a totally different character and has changed! She is selfish, self centred and just not a nice person. I don't know how Luke puts up with her. Disappointed reader! Still a Kinsella fan tho!
Yes, I have read them all. No, this one wasn't worth it. I think it's time for me to part ways with Becky. Boo.
