Knowing what happens in the next book this definitely feels like a part 1

I was so excited to get back into the world of Becky Bloomwood/Brandon! She is just as ADHD as all the other books in a charming way- I love the inner dialogue she has with herself. The only things that bothered me about this book was all the interesting celebrity situations she found herself part of- very unbelievable and then also I was so mad at the end! However I am glad it appears there will be another book after this one!

I love becky but not do much in this book. I m giving the low rating only beacuse i hate to hate becky for being shallow, stupid, unkind which she never was. Hope the old becky returns in mext installment.

I just love how each book is still fun and fresh and unique. And Luke is so supportive. So is Suze. Becky has the best, most understanding people around her outside of the red carpet.

Not a fan of the unnecessary cliffhanger ending.

This entire novel felt like a long-awaited visit from dear friends. Because I have read the entire Shopaholic series, I am familiar with these characters and I just love them; I could tell you story after story about each of them, as if they are actual people that I've met. Having said that, it would be difficult for me to assess this book as one who is not familiar with the development of these characters, previous story lines and events; my guess is that the book would remain enjoyable, yet I'm not sure to what extent.

There is nothing earth-shattering here, and that is maybe what I love most about these books; Shopaholic to the Stars is no exception, and it was a pleasant diversion from busy days and life's responsibilities. Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood- I have to say it like this; those of you who've read these books understand!) always puts a smile on my face and joy in my heart. I love the fact that she always has the best of intentions, no matter how zany her ideas may seem, and she is always so extremely determined to realize her dreams and while assisting others in accomplishing their own goals.

Becky always sees the best in others and in Hollywood her mettle is definitely tested by the celebrities and not-so-celebrities that she encounters (an old rival shows up, unexpectedly...no spoilers!) but, in typical Becky fashion, she navigates the complexities of Hollywood society with her chin up and her shoes tall! I loved how each character seemed to learn a little something more about themselves by the end of this novel; after all, isn't that what we're all hoping for?

Since I am such a fan, I would highly recommend that you read the other novels in this series before plunging in, if you haven't already; however, this is a great novel in its own right and it will definitely brighten up the cold, dreary days we are about to experience over the next few months. Make a note to add Shopaholic to the Stars to your list of books to read; it's like taking a mini-vacation.

Although I hated how selfish Becky was in this book. I do believe in character development and she did develop a lot in this book. I was worried and still am for Suze and Becky's friendship and I adored Luke in this book.

Read it in 2 days. I haven't read a book that fast in forever.

I have to say, the Shopaholic series has only been so-so for me the last couple of books. But this one I have to say is my favorite since "Ties the Knot". As much as I enjoy Rebecca's character, really it's all about Luke. I love their married dynamic and how he knows she is crazy, but still loves her. (See, Helen Fielding! You CAN write about married characters and not have to kill them to make a story).

There was a lot of things happening in this novel, and be forewarned, it is somewhat of a cliffhanger. For the first time in awhile, I am actually looking forward to the next book in the series.

It makes me sad that I gave this book a 3/5 rating as I love Sophie Kinsella and Becky is hilarious but I found myself skipping over parts of the book, getting bored and not wanting more. I think the series could have ended with Mini Shopaholic instead of dragging out the storyline/creating unnecessary plot twists.
I still love Becky and her friends/family and think that Sophie Kinsella is a great author.
