A great read for fans and music enthusiasts and everyone who's curious about BTS at all.
I found it a little dry with information at times, but that might just be because I was there for most of the journey and most of the info wasn't new, so that in turn made me just feel proud and nostalgic. They really have gotten so far!

Hmmm I'm left quite uncertain. First of all, to many typos. Second of all, I felt like some parts were glossed over too quickly, while some were talked about for too long (I don't need descriptions of songs thank you). I think it lacked something. I wanted more. But maybe BTS isn't ready to give us that, and I respect it. It is a record after all.
Anyway it's a really fast and easy read. Tho it can be repetitive for a long time Army as those are all things we already know or lived through it. It's a generous five star, but it would feel wrong as an Army to give it less.

I laughed. I cried. I felt the members’ presence with me in the corner of my room.
I read this book thanks to the library and now I need to buy one of my own to hold on to forever to annotate and carry on the stories from as if they’re verses in the Bible.
This recollection of BTS’ entire journey thus far, you can’t help feeling the overwhelming bora pride that comes with it.
BTS, to me, represent the perspective/voice of “youth”; the undying spirit in dreaming and break through all expectation (be it, societal, emotional, global, etc.) in light of expressing their experience in universal truth. Their music production involves real life experiences through each respective time period; BTS were telling their story all along through their music.
Their ride to stardom was no easy journey, given the “up, down, up, down” nature of the beginning of their career; even so, in true BTS fashion, they drove to push forward.
Pride doesn’t begin to describe the feelings I have for this group. Even so, I’m so unbelievably proud of BTS; their resilience and determination are inspiring to the lives of many who look on to them (including myself).
It felt just as heartwarming to picture BTS through never before told stories behind the scene as was gut wrenching to think they ever had to endure a fraction of the pain they had.
Ultimately, it left me feeling all the more grateful that their experiences formed them into the people they are today. It shows that as “life goes on”, life will be famously unpredictable but through living in the present moment, it will garner towards a more fulfilling life in the long run.
Thank you, BTS for being born and for making your music. 아포방포

Wow! What an amazing story! I found BTS in late 2020 (BE Era) and I have been constantly in awe of their amazing and thought provoking discography. Even though, like many ARMY, i was aware of many of the events described in this story, I was captured by how much this events influenced their music.
BTS connection to their music is impressive. It is specially admirable how they are capable of creating a universal message through their own personal though, and stories.
In regards to the writing, the book is such an easy read. I have recently started to read more non fiction books and this was such a pleasant read. I finished the book in just a day (which may have been influenced by the fact ghat I am already a huge fan, but still!)
For non BTS fans out there, this book is a great example on how much more BTS is, they simple are not just a boy band and their story and discography are proof enough! Bangtan truly deserves the world and so much more!

how am i supposed to rate this
if u wanna know my rating i'll send u my annotated pdf and you can count how often i commented w crying emojis
i think it's actually better that my physical copy is late so i have already time to digest it all and can unmute all spoiler words on twitter and have highlighted and commented my favourite parts. and then (tomorrow? let's see how long thalia keeps me waiting) i can start to properly read it again in my hands and listen to ALL the songs along with it

4.5 stars, mostly carried by the fact that it’s BTS and it was nice to read the thoughts of the members. I also loved the format with the QR codes and following through each album (did I cry when I got to where I became ARMY? yes of course) Dinging half a star though because I thought the actual narrative structure could have been stronger; sometimes I would get tripped up thinking the writer left out a certain part of BTS’s history, but then it would arrive pages later. Parts of it also felt a little bit like a school paper - it would veer off into really detailed description of a song where it felt like it came out of nowhere as page count filler. I also found it hard to figure out who the intended audience for this was, because in parts it was a bit too detailed and assumed previous fan knowledge but throughout most of it, it felt like it was written more for general fans, as it didn’t dive deeper for more context/background/insight into areas ARMYs aren’t aware of. Also, making sure there are translations available for the selected videos would be nice! I maybe would have preferred more of an oral history setup with less exposition and more hearing about certain time periods straight from the members or something. But overall this was good - definitely good for baby ARMY who need to catch up on the Bangtan story!
