DID NOT FINISH: 21%

It's taken me a while to get through to where I did which isn't that far. I think the problem is, as a BTS fan, I already know a lot of this information. There was no issue with the contents of the book, I just didn't feel as rushed to finish it before my loan expired at the library and I had to return it.

(I have picked up the digital loan to try and finish it off).

Look, it was probably my fault for reading a book about a band that I don’t really care about, but this was very much BTS hype material and the translation maybe didn’t help with the flow. It was interesting to learn a little bit about how the Korean idol industry works. I would like more of that!

I loved getting to see an in-depth inside perspective on BTS, and I loved being able to read their own words. I love them so much 💜

As an ARMY, once you’ve done a deep dive into BTS and their stories, this book doesn’t really add a lot of new info. But for anyone new to BTS, it’s a great introduction to their artistry. I’m definitely biased toward my boys, but it’s always nice to hear more about their struggles as idols. They’ve been transparent with fans from the start, and this book continues that. What I will say about the audiobook is that it’s disappointing they didn’t keep the Korean songs in Korean. They could’ve done side-by-side translations in the book. And honestly, if Mariah Carey could include song clips in her audiobook, there’s no reason why Hybe couldn’t do the same. But at the end of the day, I love the boys, so I love the book. Don’t @ me.

It was quite an engaging read. Kudos to the authors and the translators for the narrative turn they've given to BTS' story.

an amazing biography about the struggles that the tannies had to go through in order to achieve the level of stardom that they're currently at. i think many people think that bts might've let their fame get to their heads when in reality, they're all very humble individuals with fascinating backgrounds and motives that each drive them to perform their best and to give it their all in every single stage that they do. i'll still be here in 2025 and i hope to see them on tour (if they have one for their reunion)! 5/5, definitely a book that all armys should read!

This is my first nonfiction besides Outlander but it's about BTS so i obviously had to read it. I had this book on my shelf since it came out but i have never gotten around to it but with some recents events I felt like I needed to be "hugged" by BTSxARMY and feel the connection we have a bit more.
This did exactly what I was looking for.

Everything that was mentioned here I knew about but never to the extent that was written. The members express themselves even more about each situation and their emotions going through it all and I was just even more proud of them and of being an ARMY.

I really encourage everyone who has become part of the fandom to dive into everything video there is about BTS but to also read this book because you truly understand and appreciate this journey we are on together.
