ending chapters were much more interesting to me personally. i liked the discussion on her BPD diagnosis from the DSM, and how psychiatry and psychology can clash with each other in treatment at times, rather than complement one another.
middle was more anecdotal but overall it was pretty good. an easier and quicker read than i was expecting

The writing was gorgeous and the memoir portions were very realistic and similar to my own experiences, but I found the tone towards the end, in the portions written in present-day, off-putting. Also important to note that Kaysen's account is slightly outdated and, for the most part, does not reflect modern psychology.
