I liked it, but parts of the plot were fairly predictable.

It took me a while to get into the book but once I did I couldn't stop reading! I loved it

I went into this book completely blind, all I knew about it was that there were aliens that attacked in "waves."

This book was all I wanted and more, I loved it so much! The characters are real, funny, and heart wrenching. I felt so bad for the main character, Cassie, and her little brother, Sammy. From their loss, to their separation, and when they reunited. The 5th wave was action packed, and had me gasping, tearing up, and wanting to throw the book across the room. I knew not to trust the military base where they brought Sammy, and Ben.

For sure, I feel as the movie won't do the book justice, and the actor picked as Cassie didn't fit my vision of her as I was reading.

Great job Rick Yancey for ruining my feelings, I need to pick up the second book right now! I need more Evan. He better be alive! Cassie x Evan forever

The second half of the book was definitely the best. At first I was a little bored to be honest. There were so many descriptions and not much happened. But then, piece by piece, the story revealed itself and every now and then a new revelation would make me go "Oh... OH!". And that's when I know it's a good book. I can't wait to see what the author does next!

This book was awesome! There was lots of suspenseful parts and I never wanted to stop reading. Definitely some great plot twists. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you are a fan of the dystopian genre.
