Ugh. I liked parts of this book. The concept. The ending didn't bother me like it did some, totally saw it coming. The stereotyped characters. Ok. But wow, the sexism. I actually read this about a month ago, and realized I forgot to review it. I don't remember the particulars, but the bad taste lingers.

I found this book boring for a book about the apocalypse, and I didn't like any of the characters, but there were some interesting parts.

"She looked up toward the sky, toward the implacable sparkle of good old Ardor, and saw that the two of them - she and the asteroid - were caught up in a battle of wills. In that moment, she stopped being afraid of it, even dared it to come, because she knew there was no way it could crave death as much as she craved life."

Buat saya cukup 3.4 bintang.

Fantastic quick read and another fun listen on audio with four narrators. As a mid-30something, this book stuck me; I saw parts of myself in Anita while the others were parts of what I wanted to be as a teen. I'm envious of these characters.
I really wish this would be adapted into a TV show.

Boring. The writing is childish and the plot is predictable with no actual events.

I can't find enough words to describe how I feel about this book. For me, it was powerful and compelling. I started this with the thought that this would be like every other end of the world book. They all end the same. With the end of the world. But, this one was much more than that. The lives of four teenagers crisscross and they have an effect of what they they want in the end-to forget what they are to other people and to be their truest selves in the end.
This book really reached into a person's vulnerabilities. Really showed the effect that people have on one another. The writing really had some beautiful moments that made me tear up. I recommend this.

I loved this. Great characters and story. I even loved the ending!

What would teenagers do when faced with the reality that an asteroid is likely to collide with earth in 8 weeks?

This was actually more boring than I would have guessed, but contained some interesting characters including some of the most detestable characters I've encountered.

100% binge worthy.
