This book is an excellent example of how our elected officials are choosing the continuation of their own power over their duty to their constituents.  But Biden is FAR from the only one.  It is a rampant issue throughout politics.

The narrative style is a nice way to present this (although that makes it at times difficult to tell if something is a fact or if editorializing is happening).

But as a piece of political journalism, this absolutely fails to justify itself. Almost everything within was already publicly reported at the time, and putting a few low level political strategists and politicians on the record (not even that many) is not enough value added.

I’m too angry at the authors who wrote this book to actually leave a starred rating. They were part of the media which resorted to gaslighting the public.

Great read. Despite knowing most of this I was interested knowing about what happened behind the scenes with the Politboro and the lengths of the cover-up

A interesting (but painful) recap of the 2024 election lead-up and the failures of the Biden Campaign / Democratic Party. Conspicuously missing any commentary on the negative impact Biden’s handling of the Palestine/Israel conflict had on young voters, but otherwise a pretty thorough and enlightening look at the behind-the-scenes of Biden’s attempt at reelection.
