Wow.
If you loved the first book in this series, you’ll defiantly love this one and what’s so great about it is that even if you haven’t read the first one, it’s still a great read and easy to understand. Michelle Paver wrote it so that recaps are laced throughout without mentioning the main plot of the first book too much - so that you don’t feel like you’re missing out.
I did give Wolf Brother 4.5 stars because the ending was short and unsatisfying but boy did Paver turn it around for this one! The ending was stretched but not slow as there was so much to say in it. The plot twists made me audibly gasp and I was hooked right up to the last page.
Spirit Walker is really well-paced in my opinion in that it didn’t take me a decade to read but I was still engaged throughout. The language is beautiful and you can tell it went through several edits to get it to the sophisticated level it is at now.
Overall, a really good read, can’t wait to read Soul Eater.
