I actually enjoyed this more then the first because things were actually happening and I wasn’t as put off by all the side character BUT it’s just lacking a certain spark for me.
Full review to come later, I will be continuing with the series but it’s not a top priority as I reakon all these books will be about a 3 - not bad not great but okay when reading.

Basically the entire time I was reading this, I just kept saying, "Dang, that's messed up." And it totally is. But also so exciting. And I cried at the end, over something that would not have made me sad in book one. When does book 3 come out?
Definitely better than book one. I am starting to fear that me liking katharine so much is going to end badly for me sorry I love her. arisnoe was much more tolerable in this book and mirabella was still a queen as always. The end my poor jules

honestly everyone was saying this was a big step up and I think the middle was but then the beginning seemed slow and the ending was kind of bland and idk I just wasn’t feeling it
it WAS a super fast read and got me out of my reading slump so it’s lit for that

The only thing I didn’t like was that most of the time contractions aren’t used in the writing. I assume it’s to help set the scene and time frame, but it started getting on my nerves because it just feels wrong. The plot is good though.
