this book is horrifying. but… extremely entertaining.

honestly, I had a very different interpretation of what was happening in this book—I read it as if everyone but Ava and the professor were her personalities and this book showed you how she created them and eventually “killed” them all in order to heal properly.

but like… that isn’t wrong…and you can’t convince me otherwise.

This book was so strange. I’ve only just finished it so I feel like maybe I’m still processing it all.
I honestly really enjoyed it, but didn’t trust anything I read - nothing seemed certain and I definitely felt like clues and hints were being dropped but I couldn’t make sense of them until things were revealed as the plot progressed.
This book isn’t for the faint-hearted - there is some violence and gore (though the descriptors definitely play it all down and make it feel almost normal), and the plot gets really - whimsical (for the lack of a better word). I’d recommend it, but not to everyone.
