Outstanding sequel! It was hard to get anything done due to not wanting to put this book down.
The plot moved at a speedy but appropriate pace and the characters were extremely enjoyable.
I loved that the chapters were super short. Typically, 3-5 pages long. It made me feel productive in that I was reading three chapters in the time I usually read one.

I like Blackstock's style. I really like books by Henderson, Blackstock, Peterson, and other authors who blend an intriguing tale while including a Christian element. I liked this book a lot.

Second in the Cape Refuge series, and as good or better than the first. I bought the first two in an anthology and enjoyed them both immensely. I might need to buy the other two and continue reading the series. Good characters, a little murder mystery in each one (although I've figured them both out, they're still enjoyable!), and I adore the setting. Since we've visited Tybee Island, I can see all of these places in my head :)

Okay, so I was busy this week and couldn't afford to stay up 'til 2am reading this time. So I had to be patient. But boy was it worth it! I did guess most of the plot points, but there were still incredible details there that I would never have thought of. It had me thinking in the middle of the day about Cade and Blair.
I've been a fan of Terri Blackstock since I read the restoration series a few years ago and loved it. I've been getting back into her work and I haven't been disappointed.
This book was great, unbelievable twists, and unforgettable characters.
Bye Y'all!
Duckie :)
