Not Palahniuks best but I still enjoyed it. I'm confused by all the negative reviews here. Snuff employed dramatic irony to a degree that is rare these days. Far to often stories today are trying to leave you in the dark about where it's heading. Snuff, instead makes you cringe by boldly broadcasting each next step.
This book has a lot of really bad reviews and hate, I even saw one reviewer say "Please never write anything again Mr. Palahniuk." I have to say, I don't get the hate. I've read one other Palahniuk novel, Fight Club, and while that was far superior, I still enjoyed Snuff. Was it a literary masterpiece? No, but was a book about a woman setting a world record by banging 600 dudes supposed to be? It was gross and weird and obscene and fun. Very fast paced short read. I don't know why these other reviewers are trying to hold this book to such high standards. It's a helluva fun little read that can be read in a day or two, I liked ithe.
I wasn’t expecting much with this Palahniuk book but I got to admit I was pleasantly surprised with it. I feel like it started off feeling rather pointless but the commentary and characters really unfolded in spectacular fashion.
finished sometime in 2019, not memorable enough to remember if I liked it or not

I like Palahniuk best when he sticks to one main character. He tried to divide this book up into 4-5 main characters, and I was just left with too many questions in the end. Unfortunate, because I usually enjoy Palahniuk's novels.
Oh, Palahniuk. Your schtick is getting old quickly. This is why I shouldn't read several of your titles in a few-month span, they all start to read the same. It's no Survivor or Choke. I should re-read Lullaby.
